Large aircraft have weird behavior in these games and the stealth bombers are probably the strangest to encounter. Like other large aircraft in these games, the stealth bombers have instant acceleration. The difference in their behavior comes when you engage in close range combat which either includes firing your gun or your standard missiles at them. When you do either of those things the stealth bombers like to "jump" and drop flares to throw off your missiles, which makes them a sort of nuisance. Luckily, they don't do any of those things when your fire long range Special Weapons at them such as the XLAA or SAAM. Also, next mission we get to choose our own aircraft again.
